Senior Tyler Underwood led the Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team off to a strong start to its outdoor campaign March 16, at the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by Georgia Tech University in Atlanta, Ga. Underwood continued his success from the indoor season to his outdoor debut, earning a first-place finish in the 400m with a conference-topping effort of 46.85. He followed his individual event title running a leg of the Eagles' podium-topping 4x100m relay effort, besting teams from the University of North Carolina and Kennesaw State University with a time of 40.
