MAC ANNOUNCES DISTINGUISHED SCHOLAR ATHLETES IN WINTER SPORTS Cleveland, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced today the Distinguished Scholar Athletes from the eight winter sports during this 2017-18 academic season as 152 students were voted by faculty athletic representatives at MAC institutions representing the ‘best of the best’ from each sports Academic All-MAC Teams. Leading the way were 37 MAC women’s indoor track & field students named as Distinguished Scholar Athletes. MAC men’s indoor track & field had 25 selections, while women’s swimming & diving collected 22 honorees and men’s swimming & diving added 21 selections.
