MAC ANNOUNCES DISTINGUISHED SCHOLAR ATHLETES Cleveland, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced today the Distinguished Scholar Athletes from the seven fall sports during this 2018-19 academic season as 110 students were voted by faculty athletic representatives at MAC institutions representing the ‘best of the best’ from each sports Academic All-MAC Teams. Leading the way were 30 MAC football students named as Distinguished Scholar Athletes. MAC women’s volleyball had 21 selections, while women’s soccer collected 17 honorees. MAC men’s soccer and women’s field hockey had 12 selection each, while women’s cross country collected 10 honorees and men’s cross country added eight selections.
