Central Michigan senior outfielder Zach Gilles was a force at the plate this past week as the Chippewas took three out of four games at Dayton. The Chippewa Fall, Wis., native finished the four-game set with a team-best .583 batting average collecting seven hits and 10 RBIs. In Saturday's 5-4 win in the doubleheader opener, Gilles went 2-of-4 at the plate and drove in a run. In the 13-3 nightcap win, he went 3-of-3 in his plate appearances with four runs driven in and followed it up with a five-RBI performance in Sunday's series finale.
