MAC ANNOUNCES DISTINGUISHED SCHOLAR ATHLETES Cleveland, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced today the Distinguished Scholar Athletes from the seven fall sports during this 2015-16 academic season as 210 students were voted by faculty athletic representatives at MAC institutions representing the 'best of the best' from each sports Academic All-MAC Teams. Leading the way were 49 MAC women's soccer students named as Distinguished Scholar Athletes. MAC football students had 46 selections, while women's volleyball had 27 selections and cross country had 25 honorees. MAC field hockey had 24 selections, while men's soccer added 22 and men's cross country had 17 students.
