CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Thursday, the 2016 Baseball Academic All-MAC Team. A total of 71 student-athletes were named to the team from this past season.
Kent State led this year's squad with 11 selections each. Ball State's Alex Call, Caleb Stayton & Kent State's Eric Lauer were named to the team after picking up CoSIDA Academic All-America honors last week.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
