MAC ANNOUNCES 2016 FOOTBALL ACADEMIC ALL-MAC TEAM Cleveland, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2016 Football Academic All-MAC team as a total of 146 students were named to the 2016 Academic All-MAC team. Eastern Michigan (Blake Banham, Jason Beck, Daniel Buschman, Ian Eriksen, Paul Fricano, Cole Gardner, Juan Giraldo, Jeremiah Harris, Clay Holford, Brody Hoying, Jake Hurcombe, Bryce Kemp, Luke Maclean, DaQuan Pace, Robert Pavletich, Brendan Renius, Ike Spearman, Breck Turner) topped the 2016 Academic All-MAC squad with 18 selections. Western Michigan (Lucas Bezerra, Kasey Carson, Lucas Cherocci, David Curle, Alexander Grace, Austin Guido, Luke Juriga, John Keenoy, Odell Miller, Derek Mitchell, Taylor Moton, Zachary Novoselsky, Giovanni Ricci, Trevor Sweeney, Zach Terrell, Justin Tranquill) was second with 16 selections, while Central Michigan (Joe Bacci, Mark Chapman, Winslow Chapman, Brandon Childress, Josh Cox, Jabari Dean, Austin Doan, Luke Idoni, Cooper Mojsiejenko, Joe Ostman, Jeff Perry, Anthony Rice, Cooper Rush, Devon Spalding, Trevor Thomas) and Northern Illinois (Daniel Crawford, Shane Evans, Trayshon Foster, Ryan Graham, Christian Hagan, Bobby Jones IV, Corey Kennedy, William Lee, Kyle Pugh, Max Scharping, Luke Shively, Jordan Steckler, Corey Thomas, Shane Wimann, Quintin Wynne) both tied for third with 15 selections.
