CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Wednesday, March 30th, the 2016 Women's Basketball Academic All-MAC Team. A total of 44 student-athletes were named to the team from this past season.
Bowling Green led the conference with a high of eight student-athletes making the Academic All-MAC Team. Miami, Northern Illinois and Toledo each finished tied for second most with seven players making the list.
Nine student-athletes closed out their careers making the prestigious academic list: Shelby Merder of Ball State; Miriam Justinger and Lauren Tibbs (Third-Team All-MAC) of Bowling Green; Lacia Gorman of Northern Illinois; Ana Capotosto and Brenae Harris (First-Team All-MAC) of Toledo; Jessica Jessing (All-MAC Honorable Mention), Alex Morton and Deborah Meeks of Western Michigan
Five individuals finished up the 2015-16 women's basketball season holding onto a perfect 4.
