Akron's John Lako, Football (Junior, 3.366, Human Resources Management)
For the fourth consecutive game, junior LB John Lako led the Akron defense. In the 17-10 win over CMU, he led all defenders with a career-high 23 tackles, two TFL, a fumble recovery, and a break-up. His previous high was 13 tackles. The fumble recovery was a career first. Lako recovered a fumble late in the first quarter. The Zips turned the turnover into three points with a 43-yard field goal by Nick Gasser, giving UA a 10-0 lead.
