ATHENS, Ohio –The Kent State University field hockey team (6-10, 4-1 MAC) moved to 4-1 in the Mid-American Conference with a win over Ohio University, 2-1, in Athens on Friday afternoon. Senior Pippa Best and freshman Luisa Knapp each netted their first goals of the season in the victory.
The first period saw a defensive battle as the score remained tied, 0-0 heading into the halftime break.
