Kent State's Kelsey Bittinger (Outside Hitter, Junior, 3.976, Applied Physics)
Kelsey Bittinger (Strongsville, Ohio) showed why she is one of the most versatile players in the Mid-American Conference with another stellar week in leading Kent State to a 1-1 record. Bitinger totaled 42 kills (4.20/set), 41 digs (4.10/set), 2 blocks and 2 aces for a staggering average of 4.55 points per set. Her 42 kills came on 106 swings with only 9 errors for a .311 hitting percentage. In Friday’s 3-2 win over Western Michigan, she led the Golden Flashes with a career-high 30 digs along with a team-high 18 kills.
