AKRON, Ohio – After 12 decorated years as the Zips' women's basketball head coach, Jodi Kest announced her decision to retire from the University of Akron on Wednesday.
The all-time winningest coach in program history and the longest tenured coach in the Mid-American Conference, Kest completed her 25th season in the head coaching industry and her 34th season as a women's basketball coach in 2017-18.
"It has been a blessing to have coached the last 12 years at The University of Akron," Kest said. "I have had the privilege to coach many wonderful young ladies who have excelled in the classroom, on the basketball court, and in the community.
