MAC Women's Golfer of the Week Claire Hernandez became the first Bronco since 2003 to win the Rio Verde Invitational. Hernandez shot an opening-round of 70 (-1) to lead the tournament after the first 18 holes. She followed it up shooting a 72 to finish two strokes ahead of Frankie Saban of Bradley for her first collegiate tournament win. Hernandez finished the tournament with seven birdies and 22 pars. Her top finish also helped the Broncos take fourth, the team's highest finish of the season.
