The defensive backfield for the Northern Illinois Huskies got a little bit deeper yesterday as Jordan Gandy, a defensive back at South Dakota State, announced that he will be transferring to NIU via Twitter. A local product out of DeKalb, Ill., he was productive as a freshman for the Jackrabbits last season with eight tackles, an interception, and a pass break-up.
As you can see in his Hudl highlights, he has some tools that can be an asset to the Huskies. He demonstrates good ball skills as well as shows the ability to be a solid tackler in the secondary.
