EUGENE, Ore. (EMUEagles.com) – After seeing Volunteer Coach Tori Franklin punch her ticket to the 2020 Summer Olympics, the Eastern Michigan University track & field program saw another member of the Eagle family qualify for Tokyo. Fellow triple jumper Donald Scott will join Franklin later this summer for his outstanding outing in the triple jump tonight, June 21, inside Hayward Field. The former Eagle is the first athlete in school history to qualify for the Olympics in the event.
Overall, EMU has had a track representative at the summer Olympic Games since Hayes Jones in 1960. The Eagles have had 19 representatives in 61 years, 16 men and three women.
