The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team kicked off Mid-American Conference play with a trip to in-state rival Central Michigan University, topping the Chippewas 3-1 at McGuirk Arena. After falling in the opening set, EMU rallied to take its first win in MAC play, 23-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-21. Senior Jordan Smith was one of four Eagles to finish with double-digit kills, leading the Eagles' attack with 15.
