Championship Central Mount Pleasant, Mich. - With five events complete on both the men and women's side, Eastern Michigan and Akron respectively stand on top of the 2021 Mid-American Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship leader board. In the men's weight throw, 2018 and 2019 MAC Champion Jake Wickey regained his crown, tossing a distance of 22.47 meters (73' 8¾). Wickey was followed by Eastern Michigan's Newlyn Stephenson, Taige Bryant, and Khalil Bedoui in the event. Akron's Hunter Garretson clinched the men’s pole vault title with a clearance of 5.
