CARBONDALE, Ill. - Missouri State holds onto first place after day three of the Mid-American Conference Men's Swimming & Diving Championships. The bears closed out the day with 503 points. Buffalo sits in second with 427.5 points and Eastern Michigan in third with 416.
The first event of the evening went to Missouri State sophomore Phillip Willett. Tapping in at 3:46.67, he set a new pool record and met NCAA B Cut consideration. Southern Illinois' Filippo Dell'Olio took second (3:49.98) and Willett's teammate Christopher Heye placed third (3:50.61).
In the 100 butterfly, five swimmers made the NCAA B Cut, finishing in under 48.
