Danniel Thomas wins National Championship for Kent State

Thursday was quite the day for the Kent State Golden Flashes. Aside from it being their turn in our Hustle Hall of Fame nominations, Danniel Thomas won some hardware for Kent State in the NCAA Track & Field Championships, winning the shot put with a career-best 19.15m, or just north of 62 feet if you’re IN AMERICA AND DON’T USE THE METRIC SYSTEM. It’s the second-best shot put in college ever.

She’s the fifth national champion from Kent State track and field, but historic in that she’s the first woman to win the top prize for the Golden Flashes.
