CLEVELAND, Ohio - The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced their 2016 Academic All-District Team for Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track & Field on Thursday. The student-athletes must maintain a 3.30 cumulative GPA, compete in half the season, and attend their institution for a full year to be considered for the honor.
The Mid-American Conference placed four student-athletes named to the 2016 team for District 5; Roseanne Erickson Kent State), Willy Fink (Eastern Michigan), Claudia Garcia Jou (Akron), and Joe Stewart (Miami). Each of them will be placed on the Academic All-American ballot, which will be voted on in June.
