MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – McCall Salmon is fully aware that she is replacing a legend.
"I've got some big shoes to fill," said McCall, who was named to head the Central Michigan softball program on Thursday and was introduced at a press conference on Friday by Zyzelewski Family Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics Michael Alford at the John G. Kulhavi Events Center. "I'm excited and I'm ready to jump in to those shoes."
Salmon replaces legendary Margo Jonker, who became an iconic name in college softball in the 40 years that she led the Chippewa program.
