Championship Central

KENT, Ohio - With six events complete on the women's side and four on the men's, Central Michigan and Akron respectively stand on top of the 2019 Mid-American Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship leader board.

History was made in the women's pentathlon as Toledo's Atalia Lima became the first Rocket to win the event.The sophomore collected 3,542 points across five-events to claim the title. Eastern Michigan's Morgan Iverson took second with 3,533 points and Central Michigan's Alexandria Robinson finished third with 3,462 points.

The first title of the day went to Bowling Green's Aliyah Gustafson in the women's weight throw.
