Scott Johnson continued his strong redshirt freshman campaign, going 4-1 last week with a dual win over Bloomsburg and a third-place finish at the Kent State Open. The 133-pounder recorded tech falls in three of his four wins last week, starting with a 16-0 finish over the Huskies' Major Lewis just 2:17 into their bout. He then went to the Kent State Open and went 3-1 on the day, winning the third-place match. Johnson beat Buffalo's Troy Guerra by technical fall in the first round, marking his second straight win by tech, and he beat Penn State's Timothy Levine by 12-7 decision in the next round.
