Adam Cernek helped the Salukis to a team title at the SIU Invitational over the weekend, as he won three individual events and swam on four winning relay teams. Cernek highlighted Day Three of the invite for the men's team with a career performance in the 200-back. The freshman raced to a school-record and NCAA B-cut time of 1:45.02 in the 200-back, which bested Marcelo Possato's mark of 1:45.16 set during the 2004-05 season.
