MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan junior guard Marcus Keene has been named to the Late Season Top 20 list for the 2017 John R. Wooden Award.
The award, presented by the Los Angeles Athletic Club, goes to the top player in college basketball.
Past winners include Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Kevin Durant.
"It's a great honor to make a list of the top 20 players in college basketball," CMU coach Keno Davis said. "It speaks to the nature of Marcus Keene. Not only is he a great talent, but he is someone who is driven to excel for his team and do all that he can to help bring it a championship.
