MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan wrestler Alex Cramer has been named to the Academic All-America At-Large Third Team by the College Sports Communicators.
Cramer, a redshirt senior from Grayslake, Ill., is a computer science major with a 3.95 grade point average. He is one of 17 student-athletes named to the third team and one of just 47 named to the first, second or third team. The student-athletes represent eight sports and Cramer is one of six wrestlers so honored.
Cramer, who is set to return to CMU for his final season in 2024-25, won his second consecutive Mid-American Conference title at 174 pounds in March and qualified for the NCAA Championships for the third time in his career.
