Eastern Michigan grabs their fourth MAC win of the season and back to a .500 record (12-12, 4-7) with a much-needed 71-56 win over Central Michigan (13-11, 6-5). James Thompson stayed completely out of foul trouble (sort of a surprise), and Central Michigan struggled in the one area that they're best known for (more of a surprise).
James Thompson had a great first half. Staying completely out of foul trouble, he was able to pick up 12 points and eight rebounds before the Eagles went into the locker room with a 15-point lead at halftime. A 72 percent free throw shooter coming into the game, Thompson made five of his six free throws.
