BUFFALO, NY - Former University at Buffalo women's basketball standout player and assistant coach Kristen Sharkey has been named the 14th head women's basketball coach in school history, UB Vice President and Director of Athletics Mark Alnutt announced on Friday. Sharkey comes to Buffalo after three seasons on the staff at Syracuse University, most recently serving as associate head coach.
"Kristen Sharkey is a prime example of the transformational impact our great University has on its students," said Alnutt. "As a two-time alum and standout member of our basketball program, I am elated that we had the opportunity to bring Kristen back home!
