The Bowling Green Falcons have added a new military appreciation helmet design for the 2016 season. It will be worn for their home opener against the North Dakota Fighting Hawks on Sept. 10, and the move continues BGSU's recent efforts to honor the military.
This year's helmet features an orange shell and brown facemask. The side logos incorporates an orange and brown falcon head with a camo pattern, as well as the letters "BG" rendered in a stars-and-stripes pattern.
However, the solid brown center stripe is the true jewel of this helmet and is home to the most unique part of this design.
