Buffalo – Burgess Takes First Place to Highlight UB’s Day at Big Red Invitational
ITHACA, NY – Kaleb Burgess won the 157 bracket at the Big Red Invitational on Sunday afternoon. In all, 19 Bulls competed at the annual event hosted by Cornell.

Burgess steamrolled through his bracket, winning three of his four matches by pin. He opened by pinning Binghamton's Marco Albanese early in the second period. He then pinned Brown's Nicholas Romero in the first period in the quarterfinals. After earning a decision over teammate Brady Unger in the semifinals, Burgess needed only 40 seconds to pin Cornell's Nathan Wade in the finals.
