Akron's Johnson Earns AP All-American Honorable Mention Honors

Akron, Ohio – Senior center Isaiah Johnson (Cincinnati, Ohio) earned Associated Press All-American Honorable Mention honors to go along with a long list of accolades from his senior season, the AP announced on Wednesday.

Johnson is the third player in Akron basketball history to earn AP All-American honors and the second player under former head coach Keith Dambrot to earn the award – Romeo Travis was named AP All-American Honorable Mention in 2007.

Johnson garnered several awards after leading the Zips' offensive efforts, including the Mid-American Conference Player of the Year award.
