MAC Women’s Golfer of the Week

The Akron Zips women’s golf team climbed four spots and finished runner-up as freshman Jennifer David (Hudson, Ohio) claimed top individual honors at the Dolores Black Falcon Invite on Sunday. During Sunday’s final round, the Zips fired a 304 (+16) team total at the par-72 Stone Ridge Golf Club that stretches 5,829 yards. Akron finished the 36-hole event with a 615 (+39) team ledger paced by David’s even par 144-stroke performance. David carded a 1-under 71 final round score mixed with her previous round 73 (+1) total for her first collegiate win.
