Akron and Kent State Move Into First After Day 2

MUNCIE, Indiana - With a total of 15 events completed at the 2019 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Kent State and Akron hold the top spot on the leaderboards for men and women, respectively.

In men's decathlon, Kent State’s TJ Lawson added to his lead from day one to three-peat as MAC Champ. The junior finished the ten events with a total of 7738 points. Akron captured the 2-3 spots, with Brandon Hochbein at 6,771 and Kamar Majid at 6,760.

Akron's Sara Foster accumulated 4,808 points across seven events to capture the women's heptathlon title.
