A Record-Setting Day One at the 2025 Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships; Akron Sits in First Place

BUFFALO, NY – The Akron Zips sits atop the team standings with 74 points following the opening night of the 2025 MAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships in Buffalo’s Alumni Arena and Natatorium.

Ohio’s 200 Medley Relay team of Allie Schrank, Casadie DiBetta, Zita Szoke, and Caroline Dunigan took the gold with a program record time of 1:36.98. The Bobcat’s time also breaks the Alumni Arena Natatorium record, which was set by Akron (1:37.91) in 2020. Akron followed in second place with a time of 1:37.13.

The Zips took gold in the 800 Freestyle Relay with a time of 7:10.
