EMU welcomed over 60 pro scouts to their Pro Day workouts earlier in March, a record showing for a program which has been on the rise in recent seasons. It’s a vital showing for a program on the rise, especially since Eastern Michigan has the potential to get two players drafted in the NFL in the same season, a rarity for a program which does not have a lot of winning tradition.
The last time this happened was in 1977 when the Dolphins took offensive tackle Mark Carter and the Chargers took tight end Mark Stansik. Suffice to say it’s been awhile.
