The Mississippi State Bulldogs (3-3, 0-3 Southeastern Conference) outlasted the Western Michigan Broncos (2-4, 0-1 Mid-American Conference) 41-28 on Saturday afternoon in a game of attrition, as both teams suffered significant injuries to players at an alarming rate.
Before the game started the Broncos were without usual starting quarterback Treyson Bourguet and starting running back Jalen Buckley. Both played a week ago, but Buckley left the game in the second half with what looked like a lower leg injury.
Jack Salopek started under center for the Broncos and had a tough time finding a rhythm in the offense.
