This is it: the big dance.
The MAC’s only two 10+ win teams are set to take the stage in the Motor City, as the MAC West champion Toledo Rockets (11-1, 8-0 MAC) are set to take on the MAC East champion Miami RedHawks (10-2, 7-1 MAC.)
Toledo is looking to become the first team since Northern Illinois (2011-2012) to win back-to-back MAC title games, and further state their case for a spot in the College Football Playoff rankings. The Rockets rank #23 in the Associated Press Top 25, but a win here and key losses by Tulane and Liberty could help advance Toledo into the coveted “best Group of Five team” role.
