It was an elite Thursday for the Western Michigan football program. Not only did P.J. Fleck, and the Bronco coaching staff pick up a verbal commitment from three-star quarterback Tanner Morgan, they also landed a pledge from linebacker Trenton Guthrie of Northville High School in Pinckney, Michigan.
"I wanted to be around a coaching staff and players that were going to push the best out of me everyday. Also, I really felt like something special was happening at WMU that I just couldn't miss out on." The 6'2, 205-pound Guthrie stated to Hustle Belt as a few of the reasons why he chose the Broncos over chances to suit up at fellow Mid-American Conference programs Ball State, Central Michigan, and Toledo.
