Three-star safety De'vante Mitchell announced through Twitter his intentions to join the Ohio Bobcats football program on Friday afternoon.
According to Scout, Mitchell held eleven total offers, including offers from Indiana, Syracuse, Temple and South Florida, among others.
The 5-foot-11, 190 lb. Mitchell currently attends Champagnat Catholic High School in Hialeah, FL.
Mitchell could be a steal for the Bobcats. His hands are always active, whether he is deflecting a pass or prying the ball loose you can count on Mitchell to be disruptive. Also, Mitchell is a fantastic tackler, and is certainly someone Ohio can count on to get tough and deliver some blows to the opposition.
