Searching for talent on the recruiting trail to bring up to the Rubber City, Akron’s coaching staff is once again looking to fill the roster with prospects from across the country. Building a pipeline into Florida, the Zips locked up another verbal pledge from a Sunshine State standout over the weekend.
With reported offers on the table from programs such as Toledo, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, and UAB, two-star linebacker Moris Lugo (Opa Locka,FL/Miami Carol City) ended his recruitment in favor of Akron on Friday evening.
“I chose Akron over the other schools that offered me because I love their program, the coaches, and there are a lot of south Florida players on the team.
