ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio head football coach Frank Solich is the current dean of MAC football coaches. Solich is the fifth longest tenured head football coach among current FBS coaches, in fact only Bob Stoops (Oklahoma), Kirk Ferentz (Iowa), Gary Patterson (TCU) and Kyle Whittington (Utah) have been with their respective programs longer than Solich. Last season, as the Bobcats progressed through their 8-4 regular season record en route to a second place finish in the MAC East Division, Solich also continued to climb up the MAC career head coaching win's list.
