The Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes really don't like each other. While most college sports fans know of their hate because of football, it extends to their hockey teams as well.
The Buckeyes' hockey team has had a rough season, and they fell 8-6 to the No. 6 Wolverines Sunday. Michigan scored five goals in the third period, to close the hard-fought two-game series. After the game, the hate boiled over and it resulted in the brawl below.
It's worth watching until the end of the video. The refs do their best to prevent the players from fighting, but one ends up entangled between two fighting players.
Fights are not allowed in college hockey, so punches and brawls are far more rare than in the NHL. They also carry much harsher penalties, and that will likely be the case here.
