As we have discussed for the past few weeks on the #1 rated Michigan Football Report on Facebook Live and YouTube, it appears that the rumors of Michigan's LB coach and star recruiter Chris Partridge being courted by other schools was true. And it looks like Jim Harbaugh did a great job recruiting him to stay.
After being courted for a lateral move to become Alabama's LB coach, and a reported defensive coordinator role with a Power 5 school (rumor was Arizona), sources tell Chat Sports that Partridge has decided that he will stay at Michigan.
ESPN's Big Ten recruiting guru Tom VanHaaren also reported tonight that after considering multiple opportunities to coach elsewhere, Partridge signed a new contract to stay at Michigan. We've also heard from another source that Partridge will receive a sizable raise from the 2-year, $350k/yr contract that expires this month. While the dealis still unknown, I was told that it will be at least $500k a year, a raise of over 40% of his prior salary.
