Four-star wide receiver Brad Hawkins (Camden, NJ) committed to the Michigan Wolverines and was expected to enroll this fall, but that will not be the case. He announced on Twitter that he will be attending prep school instead.

"Even though Brad just got cleared from the [NCAA} clearinghouse, his family and him believe it's in his best interest to attend Suffield Academy in Connecticut," said Dwayne Savage, Hawkins' high school coach.
Hawkins committed to Michigan over North Carolina and South Carolina, among others. It's unclear if the Wolverines will continue to recruit him in hopes that he can join the program in 2017.
The 6'2", 202-pounder was recruited as an athlete and would've played either wide receiver or safety for Michigan. He was ranked as the No. 7 player in the state of New Jersey and No. 294 overall player in the 2016 class.
