After fighting its way to the finish, the Michigan basketball team celebrated tonight at Crisler Center.
The exciting finish to the season – two Big Ten tournament wins, including one over No. 1 seed Indiana, a First Four win over Tulsa and pushing No. 6 seed Notre Dame late into the second half – changed the mood of the basketball banquet from what it could have been at the end of the disappointing regular season.
The conclusion honored the team’s selected Bill Buntin Most Valuable Player, Zak Irvin, who won the award for the second year in a row.
