Michigan has a big issue with its bigs.
And that was on full display in Tuesday night's humbling loss to SMU, which owned the paint and the boards and pretty much everything else.
With Ricky Doyle, 19, and Moritz Wagner, 18, serving as Michigan's primary 5's, there is definite concern as the Wolverines inch closer to its Big Ten schedule, which has several teams -- hello, Purdue and Michigan State -- just as strong and tough as SMU.
"Absolutely," Michigan coach John Beilein said, when asked if this has been a worrisome development. "The focus is, we're gonna shorten that distance every day in our practices, and help them continue to improve.
