While he is clearly the most game-seasoned of the quarterbacks who will challenge for the job when camp opens next Friday, Rudock quickly impressed teammates with his ability to acclimate. He did that, in part, by doing what has become the norm among the Wolverines under new coach Jim Harbaugh — he landed a job.
“When I first met him, he impressed me because the first thing he did, he got a job at Schembechler Hall,” Michigan receiver Jehu Chesson said during the Big Ten media days that concluded last Friday. “Coach Harbaugh really emphasizes guys working outside of just football and school so just being a complete Michigan Man and being a positive influence on the community you can tell (Rudock) already has that sense of (desire) to be a part of Michigan by committing himself to just not football.
