Chicago — Jake Rudock, who started for Iowa at quarterback the last two seasons, arrived in Ann Arbor in May as a graduate transfer with one fall of eligibility remaining.
While he is clearly the most game-seasoned of the quarterbacks who will challenge for the job when camp opens next Friday, Rudock quickly impressed teammates with his ability to acclimate. He did that, in part, by doing what has become the norm among the Wolverines under new coach Jim Harbaugh — he landed a job.
“When I first met him, he impressed me because the first thing he did, he got a job at Schembechler Hall,” Michigan receiver Jehu Chesson said during the Big Ten media days that concluded last Friday.
