Coming off a disappointing defeat in the opening week of the season, the Wolverines were looking for a big bounce back performance at home against Western Michigan, and that’s exactly what they got. Grabbing a big lead early, Michigan dominated on both sides of the ball, beating their in-state foe 49-3.
Outgaining the Broncos 451-208, the Wolverines had a chance to show strides on offense, breaking a nearly year-long drought in wide receiver touchdown catches, while also having success on the ground.
“I thought the [offensive line] played really good,” head coach Jim Harbaugh noted.
