Michigan plans to spends its spring practice time picking up the pace on offense. Head coach Jim Harbaugh said Monday that the Wolverines' tempo will be the biggest difference between the 2018 and 2019 teams.
Harbaugh hired former Alabama and Penn State assistant John Gattis to be the team's new offensive coordinator this January. In a departure from the way Harbaugh has handled that role with past assistants, he said he "handed the keys" to the offense to Gattis when the newcomer arrived on campus.
"The tempo is a huge change," Harbaugh said, one day after Michigan held its first spring practice.
